Toronto picked PG Jonathan Weaver 6-2 - 184lbs – Senior California - Nelson High School - Stockton, CA with the sixth overall pick in this year’s draft and  picked Larry Dolan , 7-2 - 320lbs – Senior Louisiana Tech - Wilburton High School - Wilburton, OK in the second round thirty second overall. Rumors out of Toronto was they were going to draft a power forward and the names of Lenard Harris , Gene White or Andrew Sutton were coming up on a regular basis. With Toronto getting out rebounded most nights last year that would have been the logical pick to make. “ I know a lot of fans are disappointed with me but I don’t think Jonathan Weaver with disappoint anyone and we will try to get the much needed rebounding help in Free agency “ says Tessier. Jonathan Weaver is just the type of player needed to help Mathew Cole and Toronto plans on giving Jonathan every chance to do just that. Gerald Godbey looks to be odd man out and looks like he will be dealt early on in the season. “ Let’s not jump the gun here Gerald is a good player and we may need him if Jordan Brown gets injured  this year as he only played a total of 46 game the last two years maybe it is time to try and deal the veteran Brown “ says Tessier. Toronto will be looking to lock up Mathew Cole to a long term deal in this year free agency. Mathew Cole was picked up in a trade last year for Logan Goloboy and was a shock to all fans in Toronto.
